This is the first time after many many years that I have actually taken on to writing …how good or bad am not sure. The past few days there were a few thoughts that were crossing my mind and I just felt a very strong urge to pen them down…and what better way than catching up on the latest fad of blogging and thought should try my hands also on the same.

How often do we recognize the value and appreciate some of the most basic things of life; seeing, breathing, feeling, loving are few of the basic things which more often than ever we take for granted. Do we in our fast paced life so very hard pressed for time even acknowledge the every new day that we get to live?? Why are we always emphasizing as to what is so very wrong with us or the things happening to us or around us. Where is all this negativity leading us to, are these negative factors so very important that we would like to cling on to them,& cling on to them so hard that we forget to live in the present.

And while I am writing this article I just got a forwarded sms which at this point in time is making a lot of sense to me why is the rear view mirror of the car smaller than the windshield coz the past which is gone by is not as important as the future which is yet to come & more important than that is the present. The time right now, being the most important. All of us are in the quest of finding the purpose for our existence, this purpose is attached to some dreams that all of us have & are working really hard to fulfill them…dream of a bigger house, the sexy new car launched, a good job, getting into the IIM’s, finding the perfect life partner & the list seems to be endless. In this whole gamut of fulfilling our dreams are we forgetting to enjoy the path that is leading us towards attainment of these dreams.

We have so many expectations attached with these dreams, & what happens when the expectations don’t meet up??? Can we just not go about trotting the path of attaining our dreams without expectations, can we not try & apply the ever universal principle from the Gita “Karm Karon aur phal ki chinta naa karo” well it is difficult but this surely makes life easier at least that’s something that I am strongly trying to follow.

The million dollar question is “Is it worth missing out on the simple joys that life has to offer us in the quest of attaining our dreams”; we are always looking for that something which we do not have & forget to appreciate all the other beautiful joys that are with us. So does that mean we stop dreaming, stop having a purpose for our living, get out of the race that all of us are running to move higher in life…will that not lead to stagnation?

Infact we should dream real big & enjoy each & every aspect of fulfilling those dreams, the highs, the lows, the joys, the sorrows, the smiles the tears, which will be a part of our journey to attain these dreams, a part of the journey called Life.

It’s teh age old principle.. Live in teh present.. but it’s the most difficult thing to do. it’s only human nature to yearn for more and more and more.. each time a want is fulfilled another one crops up. As a lot of people would say, it’s difficult but not impossible.. and depends on each person to find their own way to snap out of the past and dream about the future and LIVE in the present!

I hope you find yours! :D

Good write up.. pretty controversial for a one on one discussion.. keep up the good work of keying down words.. this actually helps crystallise your thoughts and makes you way for new thoughts..
